The Inside Scoop: Recently, the Government launched a new AI Opportunity Forum which aims to ramp up adoption of AI in the private sector.

The UK Government has initiated an AI Forum, uniting AI companies and business leaders to promote the adoption of AI in the private sector.
The forum was established in response to the discovery that just 1 in 10 organizations based in the UK is prepared to incorporate AI into their operational processes.
It aims to fill this gap by creating opportunities for industry leaders and AI experts to exchange best practices and knowledge, fostering economic growth.
Chaired by Michelle Donelan, the Technology Secretary, and Franck Petitga, special adviser to Rishi Sunak, the forum will include representatives from Microsoft, Google, KPMG, and GSK.
The relevance: The new group aims to enhance the AI culture and skills of UK organizations, focusing on governance, awareness, technological risks, and data availability.

The Inside Scoop: The startup disclosed the investment on Monday, with KT, South Korea's second-largest wireless carrier and a customer of Rebellions, leading the funding round.

South Korean AI chip startup, Rebellions, secures $124M in Series B funding for the development of its third AI chip.
Samsung and Rebellions plan to jointly design and manufacture a chip, with development set to conclude by year-end.
Rebellions will utilize the funding to scale up production of its data center-oriented chip (Atom) and broaden its development.
Rebellions, in its Series B funding, has attained a valuation of $658 million. The latest round has brought the total funding raised to $210 million since its launch in 2020.
Rebellions, which is now valued at $658 million, sells two processors called Ion and Atom. Both are optimized to run AI applications. However, they’re based on different manufacturing technologies and target two separate sets of use cases.

The Inside Scoop: Elon Musk recently revealed the successful implantation of Neuralink's advanced brain chip in a human test subject. The patient is reportedly recovering well from the procedure, as stated in Musk's post on X.

Musk highlighted "encouraging neuron spike detection" in the patient, indicating that the chip's sensors are recording individual brain cell activity.
Musk unveiled that Neuralink's inaugural product, 'Telepathy,' aims to empower paralyzed individuals to control devices through thoughts.
The initial trials of the company focused on patients aged 22 and above with quadriplegia due to spinal injuries or ALS.
The first product from Neuralink would be called Telepathy, Musk said in a separate post on X.
